I thought I would start a thread here where discussion of the new policy regarding children of LGBT parents could take place.

As I mentioned on the other board, I think that the reason that this policy has inspired so many "on the fence" members to quit is because it affects innocent children in such a blatant way. It really is a final straw.

Yep, this new policy is causing quite people wanting to resign.  The LDS Church is continuing to be very strongly be against same-sex marriage.  But should the brethren continue to be that strongly against same-sex marriage when gay men now are able to enter into happy marriages???
Elder M. Russell Ballard has stated:

“I would rather be a woman not entering into marriage in mor­tality than a man. I would not want to stand before the Lord as a healthy, normal man and try to explain why I never married."
